Baby Raccoon Bed

1.) Cut one 12" circle from outer fabric, inner fabric & batting

2.) Layer the outer fabric (right side up), the batting & inner fabric (right side down) - Basting around outer edge of circle is optional

3.) Cut a 38" x 3.5" strip from outer fabric, 38" x 4" strip from inner fabric and 38" x 3.5" strip from batting

4.) Layer outer and inner fabric (right sides together) then the batting matching one long edge

5.) Sew along top 38" edge of the layered fabric using a 1/2" seam allowance

6.) Open up the strip & pin inner fabrics together (right sides facing) then outer fabrics & batting together (right sides facing)

7.) Sew across the short edge, the strip will now be a circle.  Turn strip right side out; baste if desired

8.) Pin circle strip to circle, matching fabric edges

9.) Sew & clip close to seam

Recommended fabrics:  Inner - Fleece or padded fleece  / Outer - Cotton or cotton blend
